Temburong National Park

0700 pick up from hotel and transfer to jetty in Bandar Seri Begawan to board a local water taxi to Bangar town via a network of waterways. Upon arrival, transfer to Batang Duri, an Iban village for morning tea as well as a nature briefing. Continue upriver by long boat through the Temburong River rapids to Ulu Temburong National Park. Explore the network of elevated walkways where you see a wide variety of insects, flora & fauna. Cross the suspension bridge, and climb the canopy walkway to above the tree tops. Return to the river and enjoy lunch by riverside. Return by longboat and water taxi to Bandar Seri Begawan. (L)

Brunei Countryside Tour

0900 pick up from your hotel and drive through the beautiful countryside of Brunei. You will see Malay villages, water buffaloes and egrets and learn about countryside lifestyle with a visit to a typical private house. Here you will be introduced to jungle medicinal plants, vegetables, local fruit trees and pass by many ‘mini’ palaces and stop by a seaside market before heading back by coastal road to your hotel.

Labi Longhouse & Waterfall

0900 depart your hotel for a full day tour that takes you into the interior jungle of Brunei. Proceed down the ‘old route’ to Tutong town, passing through villages and scenic countryside. Our first stop will be the Forestry Museum at the Sungai Liang Forest Reserve and Research Center. You will be able to see a diversity of flora and fauna in Brunei’s rainforest. We then proceed along Labi road towards Luagan Lalak Recreational Park which features and alluvial freshwater swamp. During the rainy season, it fills up like a lake and in drier spells the waters recede and the valley becomes covered with sedges. There are shelters and walkways which cover most of the lake. We then proceed to the Labi Longhouse, a unique form of housing in Borneo. These dwellers are Ibans from Sarawak, who settled in Brunei in the early 70s. Proceed to the Wasai Kadir Waterfall and after a short trek, it will take you to the waterfall located in primary rainforest where you can relax, swim or read a book until it is time to pack up and proceed back along the coastal highway to your hotel.

BRUNEI BY NIGHT

Pick up from your hotel in Brunei at evening, drive to one of the local restaurants for dinner. We will drive you through the city of Brunei Darussalam, Bandar Seri Begawan. We will have photo stop at Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque (The mini Taj Mahal), have a view of the Istana Nurul Iman Palace (The largest Residential Palace in the World) from the main entrance. Then we will proceed to have a view of the largest mosque in Brunei, Jame Ars’ Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque stop over at the Night Market. Our last stop will be at the Jerudong Park (mini Disneyland) of Brunei Darussalam. Drive back to your hotel in Brunei. (Dinner not included)

BRUNEI’S PROBOSCIS MONKEYS

At about 1600 hours, pick up from your hotel in Brunei and transfer to the jetty where we will take a “water – taxi” ride cruising through the world’s largest Kampong Ayer, the local dialect for water village along the Brunei River in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan. We will cruise through to the green forest of mangrove and Nipah palm tumble down to the river’s edge. Listen carefully, and you may detect the call of a monkey amid the chorus of chirping insects and birds. Observed the Exotic Primates the “Proboscis Monkey” that only is found in Borneo. Great White Egrets, Monitor Lizard, Whir-bellied Sea Eagle and King Fishers are commonly seen. On the way back, we will pass the Sultan’s palace before heading back to the city and transfer to your hotel in Brunei.

What to bring            :            Insect repellent, sun block lotion, towel and drinking water. Use good walking shoes. Comfortable cotton T-shirt with long or short pant recommended.

TRANSIT NIGHT TOUR OF BRUNEI

If you have a 7 hour evening wait in Brunei, feeling hungry and don’t want to stay in the airport, how about a Brunei Night Tour with Dinner?

We will arrange a pick up from the airport, take you to a local restaurant for dinner, visit a Brunei Night Market, a tour around the city to see the magnificent mosques and palaces, and take you back to the airport to catch your on-going flight by 11pm. (D)

On arrival at the Brunei Airport, proceed to the transit area, collect your boarding pass for your Brisbane flight, and then pass through the doors to immigration. If an Australian passport holder, pay $5 (Brunei or Singapore currency) to obtain a Transit Visa.

Your guide will be waiting at the Airport Arrivals to take you on your tour. Bring all your hand luggage with you.

When you arrive back at the airport after your tour, just proceed straight to immigration. You don’t need to queue at check-in again as you already have your boarding pass.
