Day 1 Mulu
Upon arrival at Mulu airport, transfer to Royal Mulu Resort. After lunch proceed to visit Deer Cave and Lang Cave. Wait for the exodus of thousands of bats on their nightly feeding forays. Trek back to the Park HQ by torchlight. Return to the hotel. (Standard Room) (Lunch/Dinner included)
Day 2 Mulu
After breakfast, depart up-river and stop at clearwater & Wind caves on the way. After visiting the caves, continue for long Litut by longboat (1 1/2 hours). After lunch, trek to Camp 5 (2 1/2 hourds). The time estimated depends on the water level. Overnight at Camp 5. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)
Day 3 Mulu
After breakfast, stroll the surrounding jungle on the headhunter’s trail. Return to Camp 5 for lunch. Later in the afternoon, proceed to the Melinau Gorge (about 1 hr although not advisable in bad weather). Overnight at Camp 5. Alternatively, hike to the Mulu Limestone Pinnacles (1175M). The climb takes about 3-4 hours for a physically fit person. Pitcher plants and orchids line the way. Return to Camp 5 for overnight stay. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)
Day 4 Mulu
Trek to Kuala Terikan (5 hours). Proceed down river by boat to Rumah Penghulu Sigah or Rumah Bala Lasong, an Iban longhouse. The journey takes about 2 – 3 hours – depending on the water level. Overnight in the Longhouse. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner included)
Day 5 Mulu / Limbang
Depart Rumah Penghulu Sigah or Rumah Bala Lasong by boat (1 1/2 hours) to Nanga Medamit. Then proceed to Limbang Town (1 hour) by van. Drop off in the early afternoon at Limbang airport for departure. (Breakfast/Lunch included)
What to bring : Raincoat, sun block lotion, drinking water, hat, insect repellent, torch, toiletries, towel and other items of personal use. Use good walking shoes. Comfortable cotton T-shirt with long or short pant recommended.
